To respect your trust, Pawvila Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) primarily guarantees the protection of your personal data and the confidentiality of our customers (hereinafter “Your Data”).
For complete transparency and to ensure safe use of our website pawvila.store in all available versions and related applications (hereinafter the “Pawvila Site”), we explain how we process Your Data so our services always respect your rights. Across all our platforms we ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of your privacy and data.
We and our policy guarantee that all necessary precautions are taken to protect your data against disclosure, loss, or alteration. We provide clear information so you can easily understand how we process Your Data. Data are kept only as long as needed for the purposes defined. You may access and modify your data at any time via your account areas on the Pawvila Site.
We strive to comply with applicable data protection law. Accordingly, Pawvila undertakes—through this policy—to respect the core principles of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law by informing you about the existence and modalities of the processing carried out (Section 3), your rights over Your Data and how to exercise them (Sections 6 and 10), any transfers to third countries or recipients, retention periods (Section 5), and security measures (Section 9).
WHO ARE “YOU”?
When we say “you” in this Personal Data Protection Policy, we mean you as a customer of pawvila.store (if you placed an order), as a user who created an account but has not ordered yet, or as a visitor who browsed the Pawvila Site without creating an account or placing an order.
FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?
3.1. When do we collect your personal data?
Your personal data may be collected when you visit pawvila.store (via cookies), create an account, place an order for our products or services, or subscribe to our newsletters (SMS, email).
Your data help streamline your browsing and provide a personalized experience. They allow us to process orders, offer installment payments, prevent fraud, process refunds, and manage customer reviews.
3.2. Your browsing on the Pawvila Site
To enable browsing on pawvila.store, we process Your Data based on your consent.
3.3. Processing your orders
We use Your Data to process and manage your orders, customer care and mediation (including via social networks), after-sales and distance selling, marketing and commercial prospecting for pawvila.store, as well as order management, delivery and transport.
The performance of the contract between you and us is the legal basis for this processing.
Our legal obligation is the basis for product recall management. Depending on the case, consent or legitimate interest is the basis for marketing and prospecting activities. Your consent is required for “express/flash” payment features.
3.4. Payment in installments
For orders eligible for installment payments, Your Data are processed to offer this option. The contract is the legal basis for general processing; your consent is the legal basis for bank/ payment data.
3.4.1. Klarna
To offer Klarna payment options, we may transmit to Klarna your personal data (contact details and order information) so Klarna can assess eligibility and tailor options. Your personal data will be processed in accordance with Klarna’s privacy policy.
3.5. Customer reviews
To share your reviews with customers and visitors and to allow you to leave a review on pawvila.store, we process Your Data based on your consent or our legitimate interest.
3.6. Payment collection and fraud prevention
We process Your Data to collect payments and prevent fraud, and to ensure payment security.
The contract and our legitimate interest (as controller) are the legal bases.
3.7. Ad operations on the Pawvila Site
We process Your Data to manage advertising operations: growing customer/prospect databases, technical maintenance, commercial statistics and campaign studies, updating prospect files (including do-not-call lists), solicitations, contests/sweepstakes and other promotional operations (excluding online gambling).
The legal bases are consent or our legitimate interest, as applicable.
WHERE DO YOUR DATA GO?
Your Data are shared with several internal teams at Pawvila. They are not shared with third parties except in these cases:

To process your orders, data may be transmitted to providers specializing in payment processing, customer relations, after-sales service, delivery, IT development, site management, warranties/insurance.

For installment payments, data may be shared with payment centers (banks), call centers (for business processes or customer experience), and—regarding reviews—with review management providers.

Advertising operations for pawvila.store may involve sharing data with ad clients and advertisers.
DATA RETENTION
Data collected by pawvila.store are kept only as long as necessary for the purposes described in Section 3.

Prospects: retained in active archives for 3 years from last contact (accessible to Pawvila teams).

Orders/Customers: order data retained in active archives for 5 years from the end of use, then in intermediate archives for 5 additional years.

Bank data: retained in active archives for the validity period of the bank card (plus one day); no intermediate archiving.

EXERCISING YOUR RIGHTS
6.1. Access, rectification
You may request access to and correction of Your Data.
6.2. Restriction of processing
You may request restriction, for example while we verify accuracy, or if you contest the lawfulness of processing and prefer restriction to erasure; or when we no longer need the data but you require them for legal claims; or while we verify overriding legitimate grounds after you object.
6.3. Erasure
You may request erasure. Pawvila may retain data in intermediate archives for the time needed to meet legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
6.4. Objection to marketing
For email marketing, unsubscribe via the “unsubscribe” link in each newsletter or via our contact page.
For SMS, reply STOP (or use our contact page).
6.5. Post-mortem directives
You may define directives relating to retention, erasure, and communication of Your Data after death. Absent directives, heirs may contact Pawvila to access certain data for estate purposes and/or close the account and/or request cessation of processing. You may also request that your data not be communicated to third parties upon death.
6.6. Data portability
You may request portability of Your Data.
6.7. Withdrawal of consent
You may withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal).
6.8. Lodge a complaint
You may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).
How to exercise your rights:
Send your request (with your email address, full name, a copy of ID, and postal address) to pawvillla@gmail.com and/or by post to the address in our Legal Notice. We will reply within one (1) month of receipt.
COOKIES
7.1. What is a cookie?
When you browse a site like pawvila.store, a text file (“cookie”) may be placed on your device via your browser. During its validity period, this cookie identifies your device on subsequent visits. Only the cookie issuer can read/modify its contents.
7.2. What cookies do we use on pawvila.store?
7.2.1. Cookies set by Pawvila and its providers
(a) “Essential” cookies
Required to access our site and place orders. Without them, you may experience navigation issues and be unable to order. They also help Pawvila monitor activity. Set by Pawvila or its providers.
(b) “Analytics & personalization” cookies
Optional; they facilitate searches, optimize your experience, improve targeting of your expectations, tailor offers, and enhance site organization.
(c) “Advertising” cookies
Displayed in our ad spaces to improve your browsing by showing relevant offers/ads based on your recent browsing history. These may be set by Pawvila, its providers, or third parties associated with an advertiser’s ad content.
7.2.2. Cookies from third-party companies
These are governed by the third parties’ own privacy policies and are not necessary to use our site.
7.2.3. Cookies from third-party apps embedded in our site
We may include third-party applications to let you share content/opinions (e.g., “share” / “like” buttons from social networks). These networks may identify you via these buttons—even if unused—if you were logged in on your device during a recent session. We do not control their use of data.
Refer to each network’s privacy policy to manage your preferences in your user accounts.
Our advertising spaces may contain third-party cookies enabling them, during their validity period, to serve ads, measure impressions/clicks, bill amounts due, and target/personalize content if your device previously visited another site hosting their ads.
7.3. Your browser options (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, etc.)
Your browser lets you set preferences to accept/refuse cookies. If you accept cookies, they will be stored on your device when present on sites you visit. You can be prompted each time, or refuse storage systematically.

TRANSFERS OUTSIDE THE EUROPEAN UNION
Most of the time, Your Data are stored within the EU. Where our providers are located outside the EU, we may share certain data with third countries, including those without an adequacy decision by the European Commission. PROFILING AND AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
Automated processing (e.g., profiling) may produce legal effects concerning you, where necessary to conclude or perform our contract. This allows automated customer identification and “pay-in-4” options, based on variables such as product type, services ordered, or customer profile. If the statistical risk (fraud/non-payment) is deemed too high, the installment option will not be offered.
You may obtain human intervention, express your point of view, and/or contest an automated decision.
POLICY UPDATES AND REVIEW
This policy will be updated whenever necessary to remain compliant with applicable data protection regulations (at least every three (3) years).
